Creative Arts & Play Therapy

Jacqui Jomain

Providing therapeutic play sessions for individual children and young people on a 1 to 1 basis or group therapy for children with shared difficulties.

I have many years of work experience with children in "Play Work" and as an artist. Being a creative person at heart, I am truly passionate about facilitating the use of creative mediums within the therapeutic healing setting, to help children change and grow to lead happier more fulfilled lives.

Therapeutic empathy drawings

To support the therapeutic healing process, I often use my illustration skills to create bespoke drawings for children, these can serve as a visual aid, helping children put words to their experiences.

Ethics and safe practice

Play Therapy UK, is part of an international organisation (Play Therapy International) which is committed to helping children with their emotional well-being, behaviour and mental health problems. They provided guidelines for my safe practice:

I am registered with the "Register of Play and “Creative Arts Therapists”, which has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
I work within PTUK's ethical framework and principles which includes:

  • An up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS).
